Abstract

The research was aimed to determine the response of shoot multiplication of Vanda douglas orchids againsts various concentrations of cytokinin by in vitro method. This research was conducted in May to July 2014 at BPBiotechnology laboratory, PUSPIPTEK. The research was designed in Completely Randomize Design (CRD) with one factor. The factor are TDZ (Thidiazuron), BAP (Benzyl Amino Purine) and Kinetin consists of 0 ppm; 0.5 ppm; 1 ppm, and 1.5 ppm. The results showed that giving Kinetin concentration of 0.5 ppm is the best concentration for the time of shoots formation at average of 14.88 days after planting, plants height that giving TDZ concentration of 0.5 ppm with average 0.53 cm, the number of shoots at average 8.00 shoots, and number of leaves with average value of 12.25 sheets.
