Abstract

PT. Clariant Indonesia is a company engaged in the chemical industry. The products are produced by PT. Clariant is a semi-finished material that is widely used for homecare products such as cleaners, bath soap, soap, and more. Businesses that can be done by the company to meet customer demand the company should be able to minimize the waste that occurs in the production process and reduce the total time required to manufacture the product. The purpose of this research are others, is to identify waste most dominant happens to the the production process Cocosalkyl dimethyl BAC, to increase the percentage of the value of Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE), to analyze the causes of waste in the production process, and later gives recommendations for improvement as well as priority improvement in the production process Cocosalkyl Dimethyl BAC. After the identification of the seven waste and then created mapping to find the right tools to use Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT). To reduce the lead time need to be designed improvement by using the tools Process Activity Mapping, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and proposed improvement by using Process Decision Program Chart (PDPC). Waste is the most dominant Waiting and get results at 58.02 Current PCE and PCE futures amounted to 70.54%. Keyword : Lean Manufacturing, PCE , FMEA, PDPC
