Abstract
The purpose of this research how process before the implementation of activities the playing blocks and was to study the improvement within child’s cognitive after the implementation of activities the playing blocks to the A group children during the first semester or the academic year 2015/2016 in TK Uswah Hasanah Perwira Rangkasbitung. This type of study is action-based research which was conducted in two cycles. The subject of this research was 12 children with 7 boys and 5 girls. The data on the cognitive were collected by observation method with observation as the instrument. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis method and quantitative descriptive analysis method. The result of the data analysis shows that there was 55,18% improvement for the cognitive with the application of the playing the beam-assisted in the first cycle an improvement into 80,38% in the second cycle. Therefore, there was 25,2% improvement for the cognitive development in the beam-assisted being on a high category. Key words: playing blocks, cognitive development
