Abstract

Ability to know the concept of numbers in TK Tunas PGRI Cikande still low, this is caused by the shortage of teachers in the use of media in the learning process in the classroom. Just assign a task without presenting media that stimulate children to be active in the classroom. The use of media cards picture numbers are expected to improve the ability to know the concept of numbers. In this study aims to improve children's ability to recognize a concept of numbers in kindergarten Tunas PGRI Cikande. This type of research is action research conducted collaboratively between researchers and classroom teachers. This study consisted of two cycles of each cycle consisting of eight sessions the first cycle and the second cycle 3 meetings. The subjects were a group of children in TK Tunas PGRI Cikande with the number of 13 children, seven girls and five boys. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. The instrument used was the observation sheet (checklist). Descriptive data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. With the success criteria measures the average percentage of 75% of children experienced improvement in recognizing the concept of numbers. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the process of learning to use the media card number ficture can improve the ability to know the concept of number of children in group B TK PGRI Cikande Tunas. Average increase before action up to 36,66%, after being given the action on the first cycle, the ability of the child began to increase 51%, and the second cycle was obtained a yield of 78%.
