Abstract

The ability to recognize number of children aged 5-6 years at Islamic kindrgarten azkia banjar agung in serang banten are still now, this factor children can distinguish the numbers properly, the children do not understand about the numbers very well, so the ability to recongnize number in Islamic kindergarten azkia banjar agung are still low and this is also evidenced by the record field that proves the ability to recognize numbers are still low. The method used in this study is a action research method, action designed in two cycle, the first cycle of 8 times the action and second cycle 4 times the action, the criteria success reached 75%. Subject of this study is children aged 5-6 years B1 group in Islamic Kindergarten Azkia Banjar Agung In Serang Banten with a totals of 15 children consisted of 6 boy and 9 girls, each cycle comprises four stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The technique of collecting data through observation, field notes, interview notes, and documentation. Data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion Given the core stage in the learning process by designing RPPH, applying the method of singing each lesson, and preparing media will be used in activities introduce numbers. The results of this research are, 1) the initial assessment ability to recognize numbers by 27%, 2) After child given first cycle of action, ability increased to 51%, 3) Cycle II obtained yield was 86%. It can be concluded that the singing method can improve the ability to know the numbers aged 5-6 years in Islamic Kindergarden Azkia Banjar Agung.
