Abstract

The Effect of Professional Competence and Motivation To Contectual Tecnology Program Managemen Education Junior high School English of Teacher in Tangerang. Thesis. Post Graduate Study of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, 2015. This research aims at The Effect of Professional Competence and Motivation Work To Performance Junior high School English of Teacher in Tangerang.The hypotheses are : (1) There is a positive influence between the professional competence of teachers on teacher performance of junior high school in Tangerang, (2) There is a positive influence between motivation to work on teacher performance of junior high school in Tangerang, and (3) There is a positive influence between the professional competence and motivation of teachers working together with teachers performance of junior high school in Tangerang. The populations are all the teachers of Junior High School of in Tangerang that amount 40 English teachers from seven schools : SMPN 1 Pagedangan, SMPN 2 Pagedangan, SMPN 1 Legok, SMPN 2 Legok, SMPN 1 Cisauk, SMPN 2 Cisauk, and SMPN 3 Cisauk. As the samples are 40 teachers. The research uses Survey Methods with Random Sampling technique. The points are obtained from the charging instrument by teachers in the form of questionnaire with 5 Likert Scale Model. The validity is tested with Product Moment formula, and the reliability is tested with Alpha Cronbach formula. The results show that : (1) There is a positive influence between the professional competence of teachers on teacher performance of junior high school in Tangerang,with value Fh= 25,603 > value Ft = 4,098X 1 , and the coefficient of correlation (R) = 0,634, (2) There is a positive influence between work motivation on teacher performance of junior high school in Tangerang,with value Fh= 34,676 > value Ft = 4,098X 2 , and the coefficient of correlation (R) = 0,691, (3) There is a positive influence between the professional competence and motivation of teachers working together with teachers performance of junior high school in Tangerang, with multiple regreression equation Ŷ = 23,330 + 0,383 X 1 + 0,431 x 2 , α = 0,05. The Implications of this research teacher performance will be better if the teachers professional competence and work to motivation optimally

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji : “Pengaruh kompetensi professional guru dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru Bahasa Inggris SMP Negeri Se-gugus 01 Kabupaten Tangerang”. Hipotesis penelitian adalah : (1) Terdapat pengaruh positif antara kompetensi professional guru terhadap kinerja guru Bahasa Inggris SMP Negeri se-gugus 01 Kabupaten Tangerang, (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif antara motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru Bahasa Inggris SMP Negeri se-gugus 01 Kabupaten, (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif antara kompetensi professional dan motivasi kerja secara bersama-sama dengan kinerja guru Bahasa Inggris SMP Negeri se-gugus 01 Kabupaten Tangerang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru Bahasa Inggris SMP Negeri di Gugus 01 Kabupaten Tangerang, yang berjumlah 40 guru Bahasa Inggris yang berasal dari 7 Sekolah, yaitu SMPN 1 Pagedangan, SMPN 2 Pagedangan, SMPN 1 Legok, SMPN 2 Legok, SMPN 1 Cisauk, SMPN 2 Cisauk, dan SMPN 3 Cisauk. Untuk sampel penelitian sebanyak 40 guru. Penelitian menggunakan Metode Survey dengan teknik Random Sampling. Data diperoleh dari pengisian instrumen oleh guru berupa angket berisi kuisioner dengan menggunakan model 5 skala Likert. Validitas instrumen menggunakan formula Product Moment, dan Reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan Alpha Cronbach. Hasil temuan penelitian diperoleh : (1) Terdapat pengaruh positif antara kompetensi profesional guru dengan kinerja guru SMP Negeri se-gugus 01 Kabupaten Tangerang, dengan nilai Fh= 25,603 > nilai Ftabel = 4,098X 1 , koefisiean korelasi (R) = 0,634, (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja guru SMP Negeri se- gugus 01 Kabupaten Tangerang, dengan nilai Fh= 34,676 > nilai Ftabel = 4,098X 2 , koefisiean korelasi (R) = 0,691, (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kompetensi profesional guru dan motivasi kerja secara bersama-sama dengan kinerja guru Bahasa Inggris SMP Negeri se-gugus 01 Kabupaten Tangerang, dengan persamaan regresi Ŷ = 23,330 + 0,383 X 1 + 0,431 x 2 pada α = 0,05. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah kinerja guru akan berdampak lebih baik jika kompetensi professional guru dan motivasi kerja ditingkatkan dengan optimal.
