Abstract
Professional teachers are teachers who have pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competence. Those competences are regarding to the professional teachers’ performances. The aim of this research is to know how significance the influence of discipline and working motivation to teachers’ performance at MAN 1 Kota Cilegon, both partially and in group. The research method used is quantitative approach with expost facto design, correlation design and the data come from all 34 teachers in MAN 1 Kota Cilegon. The analysis technique used in this research is regression analysis. The research results are: (1) there is a significant influence of discipline to teachers’ performance in MAN 1 Kota Cilegon with determination coefficient about 13,6% ; (2) there is a significant influence of working motivation to the teachers’ performance in MAN 1 Kota Cilegon with the determination coefficient about 19% ; (3) there is significant influence of discipline and working motivation to the teachers’ performance in MAN 1 Kota Cilegon with determination coefficient about 21,3%. For the rest 78,7% of the teachers’ performances are determined by other factors outside the research variables. The more high teachers’ discipline the more better performances that teachers will have. The more high teachers’ working motivation the more better performances that teachers will have. The suggestions are; for the teachers who already have good discipline to keep the discipline up, for the headmaster to train, to role a good model about discipline and working motivation, and to give reward for the teachers’ achievement.
