Abstract

AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) regulating the voltage on a given power plant is still a lot of load fluctuation using conventional control systems because it is considered able to follow changes in the load but keeps on stability. Factor the value of the function over a component greatly affects the quality of the AVR system voltage regulation, so that an appropriate controller setting is required in order to reach its steady-state stability. To that end, in improving the performance of PID control system used Ziegler-Nichols tuning as appropriate based on the identification of the reference plant used. Regulating voltage, performed two PI control (Proportional Integrated) and PID (Proportional Integrated Derivative) in comparison to the reliability of the system. Based on testing, was obtained by tuning the value of PI control of Kp = 0.0146562 and Ki = 0.032854, where as PID control tuning of Kp = 0.001543, Ki = 0.038135 and Kd = 0.00366. Results from testing that AVR controllers have to overshoot 99.94% smaller and 99.93% more steady-state compared with AVR controller, with no governing performance PID controller 11.12% more performance than the PI controller. Additional Information: AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) dalam meregulasi tegangan pada suatu pembangkit akibat fluktuasi beban masih banyak menggunakan sistem kendali konvensional karena dianggap mampu mengikuti perubahan beban namun tetap pada kondisi kestabilannya. Faktor nilai fungsi alih suatu komponen AVR sangat mempengaruhi kualitas sistem regulasi tegangan, sehingga diperlukan pengaturan pengendali yang tepat agar tercapai kestabilan steady-state nya. Untuk itu, dalam meningkatkan kinerja sistem kendali PID digunakan tuning Ziegler-Nichols sebagai acuan yang tepat berdasarkan identifikasi plant yang digunakan. Dalam meregulasi tegangan, dilakukan dua buah pengendali PI (Proporsional Integral) dan PID (Proporsional Integral Derivatif) sebagai perbandingan terhadap keandalan sistem. Berdasarkan pengujian, didapatkan tuning nilai kendali PI sebesar Kp = 0.0146562 dan Ki = 0.032854, sedangkan tuning kendali PID sebesar Kp = 0.001543, Ki = 0.038135 dan Kd = 0.00366. Hasil dari pengujian bahwa AVR dengan pengendali memiliki overshoot 99.94% lebih kecil dan 99.93% lebih steady-state dibandingkan dengan AVR tanpa pengendali, dengan kinerja pengendali PID 11.12% lebih optimal dibanding kinerja pengendali PI.
