Abstract

Emotional closeness tied between mother and child is very strong, as a mother who has given birth and care for her since childhood. In the process of educating children especially in formal education, the spirit of a child in the school can be changed. Moreover, the location of Kadu Kempong village located in the highlands, condition of road are rocks and soil, and there is no public transportation. Certainly there are times when children are eager to go to school and there is also a time when children are lazy to go to school. The purpose of this study is to describe the persuasive communication which mother did so the children diligent for going to school. This study uses the theory of Dialogic from Mikhail Bakhtin stating dialogue is about how we interact in specific interactions. The research method used descriptive qualitative method with constructivist paradigm. The technique of collecting data through observation and interview. The results showed that mother delivers persuasive message well by using the techniques of persuasive method which is considered the most appropriate with the character of each child. Children interested in receiving a persuasive message delivered by his mother. They know and understand the persuasive message can be seen with the positive changes that began each day, from diligent study, waking up in the morning, and more eager to go to school. Changes also occur not only at home, but at school with changes in value and performance improved. Keywords: Dialogic, Kadu Kempong Village, Persuasive Communication
