Abstract

Based on interview with Indonesian teacher SMP Negeri 6 Cilegon, one of problem which faced in learn to write manuscript of drama is about strategy using is not innovative, until cause students grade is low. To exceed that problem, researcher use concept mapping strategy and konversi cerpen strategy as comparison. Goal of this research is to know influecy of two strategy about student ability to write manuscript of drama in class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Cilegon. Research method used in this research is experiment method and research design used is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. In this research, there are two group which choose in a random way, and then give they pretest to know the first condition between experiment and control group. After each group give the pretest, then each group give the treatment by application two strategy in each class, then teacher give the posttest to know influence the two strategy about student ability to write manuscript of drama. Based of hypothesis result, concept mapping and konversi cerpen strategy influency about student ability to write manuscript of drama in class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Cilegon. And then hypothesis result of posttest data experiment and control class show that –t tabel < t hitung < t tabel atau -1,6706 < 0,6457 < 1,6706, untill H is accept. Thus, not different about student ability to write manuscript of drama in class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Cilegon. Each strategy which application both concept mapping and konversi cerpen strategy have influence about write manuscript drama learning.
