Abstract

Junior MasterChef Indonesia is Talent Search cooking for children, followed by children between 8-13 years old who have a passion for cooking. Junior MasterChef Indonesia Season 2 is titled "The Sweet Adventure", where participants will more experience in exciting challenge, more varied and more tenses. This study was conducted to determine how much influence impressions Indonesia Junior Master Chef Season 2 against the interest cooking of children in elementary school “Peradaban” of Serang City. The social cognitive theory argued that seen humans mimic behavior, especially from the media. The approach in this research is a quantitative. The method used is a survey using total sampling technique. Total sampling is a sample technique which the number of samples is equal the population in total amounted up to 76 respondents. Results of this study are showed there is influence between variable impressions of Junior MasterChef Indonesia Season 2 against the interesting for cooking at 0,382. This shows that influence of these two variables is low. With the coefficient of determination was 14,6%, indicating that the child's interest in cooking is influenced by impressions Junior MasterChef Indonesia Season 2, while the remaining is 85,4% influenced by another factors.
