Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the effect of concentration levels growth regulators Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) and different varieties for growth of banana (Musa sp.) in conventional methods with cut off the growing point technique. This research used Randomized Completely Block Design which consisted of two factors. First factor was concentration levels of Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) with 4 levels : I 0 (0 ppm), I 1 (25 ppm), I 2 (50 ppm), I (75 ppm). The second factor was different variety of banana, with 2 levels : V (Tanduk Variety), V (Kepok Variety) which was repeated 4 times. The result showed that BAP 0 ppm gave the best to number of bud (5.50) on 5 week after planting, long of bud (14.77 cm) on 4 week after planting. Tanduk variety gave the best number of bud (4.94) on 9 week after planting. There was no interaction between the concentration levels of Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) and different varieties to all parameters observed. 2 3 1 Key word : Banana, Growth Regulators, Variety, Cut off Growing Point
