Abstract
Vocational school aims to prepare the students to work based on their field. For that reason, the concept of learning used by the teacher should help the teachers in correlating the materials taught by the teacher with the real situation and pursue the students in correlating the knowledge that they have and implementing it in their life as part of family member and society. Based on this concept, it is expected that the process of learning is more meaningful for the students. The purpose of this research is to 1) enhance students’ skill in table set up; 2) enhance students’ working manner in table set up material after the students are taught by contextual learning with video. The sample of this research is eleventh grade students majoring in catering service of SMK Negeri 1 Students which consists of 39 students. The method used in this research is action research in which the assessment is conducted at the end of the cycle. The aspects which are observed in this research consist of preparation, process and result. Based on the data analysis, the skill aspect in Cycle I, II and III leads students’ achievement in learning reaches 69.3%, 92.4% and 97.4%. Meanwhile for working manner in each cycle, it reaches 71.8%, 97.5% and 100%. The result of this research shows that 1) there is an increasing of students’ skill in table set up; 2) there is an increasing in students’ working manner. Thus, it shows that the implementation of contextual learning with video in table set up tends to shows the increasing of students’ skill and manner.

| Additional Information: | Sekolah menengah kejuruan bertujuan menyiapkan calon tenaga kerja sesuai dengan bidangnya. Maka konsep pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru harus membantu guru mengaitkan antara materi yang diajarkannya dengan situasi dunia nyata siswa dan mendorong siswa membuat hubungan antara pengetahuan yang dimilikinya dan implementasinya dalam kehidupan mereka sebagai anggota keluarga dan masyarakat. Dengan konsep ini hasil pembelajaran diharapkan lebih bermakna bagi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini 1) Meningkatkan keterampilan table set up 2) meningkatkan sikap kerja siswa pada materi table set up. setelah diajarkan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran kontekstual bermedia video. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Jasa Boga SMKN 1 Kota serang sebanyak 39 orang. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penilaian dilakukan pada setiap akhir dari siklus yang dilaksanakan, hal-hal yang diamati mulai dari persiapan, proses, dan hasil. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, aspek keterampilan pada siklus I , II dan III ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 69,3%, 92,4% dan 97,4%. Sedangkan untuk aspek sikap kerja masing-masing untuk siklus I, II dan III mencapai 71,8%, 97,5% dan 100 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 1) ada peningkatan keterampilan table set up 2) ada peningkatan sikap kerja siswa. Dengan demikian dinyatakan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual bermedia video dalam materi table set up cenderung dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dan sikap kerja siswa. | |||||||||
