Abstract

This study aims to develop art and culture teaching materials that can be applied to Android-based smartphones using the research and development methods of Dick and Carey that can support distance learning that is accessed anywhere and anytime in learning art and culture in class 8 (eight) illustrative material at 19th City of Tangeran Public High School. The method used to determine the feasibility of the product was developed through the validation of media experts, material experts, linguists and product trials. The instrument of data collection used in this research and development was a Likert scale questionnaire with qualitative descriptive data analysis. The results of this research and development are in the form of art and culture teaching materials that can be applied to an Android-based smartphone which was developed through several stages, namely preparing a plan in the form of a flowchart, making a design with two drafts, and publishing it through a playstore. The feasibility testing of media experts has a very good category with a score of 114 or an average of 5 in terms of aspects of program content and appearance, while from the technical quality aspect, the program's effectiveness has a very good category with a score of 105 or an average of 125 experts average of 5 (Very Good), while the aspect of accuracy of the material has a total value of 65 with an average of 5 (very good), from linguists having a total value of 30 with an average of 5 (very good) and the success of design teaching materials also tested to the field by obtaining a value of 4.8 (very good) or the category "feasible", then a written test was tested with an average pre-test value of 65 and the post-test which experienced an increase in the average value of 85. So that the product developed is suitable for use in learning.
