Abstract

This research was to student as learning outcomes by using guided inquiry method on the concept of ecosystem by were of school environment. The method used was descriptive. Research population were all class 7th was grade Mts Nurul Dzullam year 2014/2015 with research was sample class 7A which taken by simple random sampling. The result of student cognitive learning was measured by objective. The result showed an average of kognitive achievement was 85,5 of and induded to very good category with N-gainvalue 65,71 % was and induded moderate category. Students' cognitive abilities using guided inquiry method can increase seen from the results of the posttest student is greater than the value of the pretest students. Key word:guided inquiry, learning outcome, ecosystem, the school environment.
