Abstract

The aim of this research was to evaluate the student’s critical thinking ability through the implementation of Problem Based Learning model on human skeleton system. This research used is descriptive method. This research was held in 11th IPA 1 grade SMAN 19 Kabupaten Tangerang in school year 2015/2016. The sample of this research were 38 students of XI IPA 1. The sample is determined with purposive sampling. Data collecting such as critical thinking test, observation sheet, and questionnaire sheet. The results showed that the students' critical thinking skills in all critical categories by 13 %, the category is critical by 53%, the category is enough critical by 18 %, and less critical categories by 16 %. Student’s responses toward the Problem Based Learning model indicate that 76,97% of students has good category. Keyword: critical thinking, problem based learning model, skeleton system
