Abstract
The research was aimed to analyze the implementation of problem-based learning model in improving the ability of critical thinking skills and student achievement on the competency standard of government system.The subjects of the research was 12 th Grade Science of SMAN 1 Cibeber students were 36 students.This classroom action researches is conducted by three cycles. The activities include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The classroom action research used Problem Based Learning Model. The research used two instruments on each cycle, namely (1) the students group worksheet and individual written test at the end of the cycle, (2) the observation sheet of students critical thinking skills for collecting data.The results of the research showed that the implementation of Problem Based Learning Model can improve critical thinking skills and students achievement on Civics Education in 12 th grade of Science of SMAN 1 Cibeber on the competency standards of Government System. From tests which had been carried out for three cycles that there was a positive correlation between the score of critical thinking skills with the score of student learning achievement; if the students thought critically, it could more increase learning results, It means that there were significant influence between the score of students critical thinking skills with the students learning achievement.

Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar pada standar kompetensi sistem pemerintahan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII IPA 1 SMAN 1 Cibeber yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Kegiatan setiap siklus dalam penelitian meliputi kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Pelaksanaan tindakan kelas menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 (dua) instrumen pada setiap siklus, yakni lembar diskusi siswa serta tes tertulis tiap individu pada setiap akhir siklus dan lembar observasi kemampuan berpikir kritis untuk pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XII IPA 1 SMAN 1 Cibeber pada Standard Kompetensi Sistem Pemerintahan. Dari tes yang telah dilakukan selama 3 siklus bahwa terjadi hubungan positif antara nilai keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan nilai hasil belajar siswa, semakin siswa berpikir kritis semakin meningkat hasil belajarnya. Artinya ada pengaruh secara signifikan antara nilai keterampilan berpikiran kritis siswa dengan nilai hasil belajar siswa. | |||||||||
