Abstract
The purpose of this action research is to enhance the student's result of learning process through Mind Map Learning Method and Creativity on Social Knowledge (IPS) subject with topic Dynamic Demography and National Development. This study examines the implementation of learning process method and creativity.The subject of this research are 33 students of class VIII F at SMP Negeri 1 Cilegon. The method of this study is Kemmis and Mc. Taggart Model’s in aplication classroom action research. Each cycle consists of planning, action plan, observation, and reflection. The analysis of this study shows that learning process' result at the first cycle do not meet the minimun standard of completion (KKM), stated by the score less than 75, which is 74,67 and 33,33% for the ability to understand the subject. It shows that only 13 students can meet the standard of completion which is caused by the ability of the student in making mind map and creativity is scored medium wèith 48,70 points, the creativity is 55,56 points, and teacher capability in learning activity is 73%. The shortage of the first cyle is fixed in the second cycle. In second cycle, the result of learning process is 82,97 points, which is above the minimun standard of completion, and the ability to understand the subject is 78,79 %. It means that 26 students can meet the minimum standard of completion which is caused by the ability of student in making mind map and creativity is good grades weith 74,75 points,the creativity is 80,05 points. The second cycle of this study has been above the standard of completion , it refers that the study is complete. The conclusion of this study is the implementation of mind map method and creativity can enhance the result of learning process in Social Learning subject.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian Tindakan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran mind map dan kreativitas pada mata pelajaran IPS tema Dinamika Kependudukan Dan Pembangunan Nasional di kelas VIII SMP Negeri I Cilegon. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang penerapan metode mind map dan kreativitas untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan mengkaji tentang pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan metode mind map dalam rangka meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII F yang berjumlah 33 siswa, sedang tempat penelitian adalah SMP Negeri I Cilegon.Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan Model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart.Tiap siklus dilakukan dengan tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi.Hasil analisis data deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I hasil belajar siswa belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) yang ditetapkan karena baru mencapai nilai ratarata 74,67 dari nilai KKM 75, dan daya serap mencapai 33,33% yang berarti baru 11 siswa yang mencapai nilai kriteria minimal. Hal ini disebabkan kemampuan siswa dalam membuat mind map dan kreativitas baru mencapai kriteria cukup yaitu mencapai 48,70, dan nilai kreativitas mencapai 55,56, sedang kemampuan guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran baru mencapai 73%. Kekurangan yang ditemukan dalam siklus I tersebut diperbaiki pada siklus II.Hasil tindakan pada siklus II menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa mencapai nilai rata-rata 82,97 yang berarti sudah melampaui KKM dan daya serap mencapai 78,79% yang berarti 26 siswa mencapai nilai KKM. Hal ini disebabkan kemampuan siswa dalam membuat mind map dan kreativitas mengalami kenaikkan yaitu mencapai kriteria baik karena mind map mencapai nilai rata-rata 74,75 dan kreativitas mencapai 80,05, sedang kemampuan guru mengalami peningkatan mencapai 78%. Karena hasil belajar sudah mencapai KKM maka penelitian ini tidak dilanjutkan pada kegiatan berikutnya. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode mind map dan kreativitas dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS. | |||||||||
