Abstract

PT. Krakatau Wajatama is a company engaged in the production of section mil and bar mill. The company's production is continuous process. Thus the need for a good maintenance system attempts to maintain the reliability of the machine. Coldsaw engine is the object under study because it has the longest downtime. The purpose of this study determines the critical components, determining the distribution pattern coldsaw engine components, determining the reliability value of coldsaw machine, determine maintenance intervals in order to improve reliability 85%, determining factor failure function with FMEA method, and determining the policy engine maintenance with RCM method. The data obtained is processed using the method of the FMEA, RCM, RBD, then simulated in the calendar year 2016. The results of this study showed most critical component is a component based downtime Sliding Plate with a time of 11.5 hours. Cause of failure function from FMEA methods, and suggestion taken by Decision Worksheet. Plate sliding component reliability by 23.75%, translation component reliability by 26.71%, reliability of components roll table by 31.84%, amounting to 36.79% reliability stopper, and reliability V-Belt amounted to 50,00%. RBD existing value of 37.26% Coldsaw machine. Preventive maintenance schedule is proposed to improve the reliability of 85%, so that the components Plate sliding 27.06% with the proposed 60 days, 34.67% Translation component to the proposed 20 days, the components Roll Table 39.81% with the proposed 15-day, Stopper components, 85,07% with the proposal of 9 days, and components V-Belt 61,43% with a proposed 90 days.

Additional Information: PT. Krakatau Wajatama merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang produksi baja profil dan baja tulangan. Produksi perusahaan ini terus-menerus. Maka dari itu perlu adanya upaya sistem maintenance yang baik untuk menjaga kehandalan mesin. Mesin Coldsaw adalah objek yang diteliti karena memiliki waktu downtime terbesar. Tujuan penelitian ini menentukan komponen critical, menentukan pola distribusi komponen mesin coldsaw, menentukan nilai reliability mesin coldsaw, menentukan interval waktu perawatan guna meningkatkan kehandalan 85%, menentukan faktor kegagalan mesin dengan metode FMEA, dan menentukan kebijakan perawatan mesin dengan metode RCM. Data yang didapat diolah menggunakan Metode FMEA, RCM , RBD, lalu disimulasikan pada kalender tahun 2016. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan komponen kritis berdasarkan downtime terbesar adalah komponen Plate Sliding dengan waktu 11,5 jam. Faktor penyebab kegagalan diperoleh dari metode FMEA, dan kebijakan yang diambil berdasarkan Decision Worksheet. Reliability komponen Plate sliding sebesar 23,75%, reliability komponen Translation sebesar 26,71%, reliability komponen roll table sebesar 31,84%, reliability stopper sebesar 36,79%, dan reliability V-Belt sebesar 50,00%. Nilai RBD eksisting mesin Coldsaw sebesar 37,43%. Diusulkan jadwal Preventive maintenance guna meningkatkan reliability 85%, sehingga komponen Plate sliding 27,06% dengan usulan 60 hari, komponen Translation 34,67% dengan usulan 20 hari, komponen Roll Table 39,81% dengan usulan 15 hari, komponen Stopper 85,07% dengan usulan 9 hari, dan komponen V-Belt 61,43% dengan usulan 90 hari.
