Abstract
The research objective of this thesis was to obtain information and a clear understanding of: the structure of the novel Rain Tere Liye work; analysis of the value of education in the novel Rain Tere Liye works by using psychology literature; Rain novel Tere Liye works can be used as learning materials literature at MTs. Subjects of this study is novel Rain Tere Liye work to be analyzed the structure and values of education as well as learning materials in MTs literature and data research is a form of words, sentences, phrases containing the value of education. This research method using qualitative research with research steps as follows: (1) determine the focus of research; (2) ask questions of research; (3) collect data; (4) validating data, and (5) analysis further discussion interpret the research findings. The results showed: 1) The structure of the novel Rain Tere Liye works include: theme, plot, setting, character and characterization; 2) The educational values in the novel Rain Tere Liye works include moral value, aesthetic value, social value and cultural value; 3) Novel Rain Tere Liye works can be selected as an alternative learning literature in MTs because there are values of education to teach students creative and independent. Alternative learning in MTs can be done through the selection of learning materials tailored to the Competency Standards and basic competencies contained in the syllabus.

| Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian tesis ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi dan pemahaman yang jelas mengenai: struktur dalam novel Hujan karya Tere Liye; analisis nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam novel Hujan karya Tere Liye dengan menggunakan psikologi sastra; novel Hujan karya Tere Liye dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan pembelajaran sastra di MTs. Subjek penelitian ini adalah novel Hujan karya Tere Liye yang akan dianalisis struktur dan nilai-nilai pendidikan serta sebagai bahan pembelajaran sastra di MTs dan data penelitiannya adalah berupa kata, kalimat, ungkapan yang mengandung nilainilai pendidikan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan langkah penelitiannya sebagai berikut: (1) menentukan fokus penelitian; (2) mengajukan pertanyaan penelitian; (3) mengumpulkan data; (4) pengabsahan data, dan (5) analisis pembahasan selanjutnya menginterpretasikan temuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Struktur novel Hujan karya Tere Liye meliputi: tema, alur, latar, tokoh dan penokohan; 2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam novel Hujan karya Tere Liye meliputi nilai moral, nilai keindahan, nilai sosial, dan nilai budaya; 3) Novel Hujan karya Tere Liye dapat dipilih sebagai alternatif pembelajaran sastra di MTs karena terdapat nilai-nilai pendidikan yang dapat mengajarkan siswanya kreatif dan mandiri. Alternatif pembelajaran di MTs dapat dilakukan melalui pemilihan materi pembelajaran disesuaikan dengan Standar Kompetensi dan Kompetensi dasar yang terdapat dalam silabus | |||||||||
