Abstract
People live in a community with the policy they get, and communication is the only way to unite each other. Communication is a tool used to interact each other in a society and even in a company or group. Additionally, based on the process, communication has a social function to clarify a self existance. This research attemps to understand how the communication system of the Fuentes band’s members in keeping their existance in Indie music industry based on their internal and external communication system. This research is supported by the adaptive structure theory, in which the group produces, reproduces, and changes the interpretable stucture as a rule and organization resource. Thus, the stucture is aimed to create social system in an organization and group. The researcher used qualitative methods and descriptive investigation type. The data were collected by the triangulation data, such as observation, interview and documentation study. The informants of this research were three members of the band and another supporting informant, the manager of Fuentes. The result shows that the internal communication system of the band was classified in several categories, such as face-to-face communication, communication through gadget and social media and wheel-patterned communication. Whereas, the external communication system was categorized in two types, all-at-once or jointly communication and face-to�face communication.

Komunikasi menjadi alat yang digunakan dalam berinteraksi satu sama lain dalam suatu kehidupan masyarakat maupun di dalam suatu perusahaan atau kelompok. dalam prosesnya komunikasi memiliki fungsi sosial yaitu sebagai alat pernyataan eksistensi diri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola komunikasi kelompok personil band Fuentes dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya di industri musik indien yang dilihat dari pola komunikasi internal dan eksternal band Fuentes. Penelitian ini didukung dengan teori strukturasi adaptif, dimana kelompok memproduksi, mereproduksi dan merubah struktur yang dapat diinterpretasikan sebagai aturan dan sumber daya organisasi. Struktur yang dimaksudkan untuk menciptakan sistem sosial dalam organisasi atau kelompok. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan triangulasi data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 informan kunci yaitu para personil Fuentes dan 1 informan pendukung yaitu manager Fuentes. Hasil penelitian menemukan pola komunikasi internal Fuentes terbagi dalam beberapa kategori yaitu Komunikasi tatap muka, komunikasi melalui gadget dan media sosial serta pola komunikasi roda. Sedangkan dalam pola komunikasi eksternal terbagi dalam beberapa kategori yaitu pola komunikasi serentak dan komunikasi tatap muka. | |||||||||
