Abstract
One Day One Juz Community was a great community that was spread across Indonesia, with a lot of members in the various regions. WhatsApp applications became one of the mainstays media to communicate everyday, bringing together members from the various regions to the group. As a large community it should be able to maintain the communication patterns, bringing together ideas for active reading the Qur‟an one day one juz. The objective of this research was to analyze communication patterns of admin and member that occur in ODOJ community. The research used qualitative method with qualitative description type. The Results of this research describes the patterns of communication in ODOJ community using three communication patterns that described by Widjaja; wheel pattern, chain pattern and star pattern. This community doesn‟t have a communication system that binding, they only focus on the program reading the Qur'an. Face-to-face meetings was rare makes admin tried to motivate the members with their own way, and WhatsApp was suitable for the needs of long�distance communication like this community. One Day One Juz invite the demand to use WhatsApp applications for the great worship and never waste time.

| Additional Information: | Komunitas One Day One Juz adalah komunitas besar yang tersebar di Indonesia, dengan kapasitas member cukup banyak di berbagai daerah. Aplikasi WhatsApp menjadi salah satu media andalan untuk berkomunikasi secara rutin setiap harinya, menyatukan member dari berbagai daerah ke dalam grup. Sebagai komunitas besar harus bisa menjaga pola komunikasi, menyatukan pemikiran untuuk giat membaca Al-Quran satu juz dalam sehari. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisa pola komunikasi admin dan member yang terjadi di dalam grup komunitas ODOJ. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan tipe deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan pola komunikasi pada komunitas One Day One Juz menggunakan tiga pola komunikasi yang dipaparkan Widjaja; diantaranya pola roda, pola rantai dan pola bintang. Komunitas ini tidak memiliki sistem komunikasi yang mengikat, mereka hanya fokus pada program membaca Al-Qur‘an. Intesnsitas pertemuan tatap muka jarang terjadi membuat admin berupaya memotivasi member dengan caranya masing-masing, dan WhatsApp cukup sesuai bagi kebutuhan komunikasi jarak jauh seperti komunitas ini. One Day One Juz mengajak peminatnya untuk lebih memanfaatkan aplikasi WhatsApp yang dimiliki untuk beramal baik serta tidak menyia-nyiakan waktu. | |||||||||
