Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between leadership style, intellectual capital and performance. Data obtained from 30 study programs/major/fields at the University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa 2016. The findings of this study indicate the results of the analysis that there is a significant relationship between transformational leadership style with human capital, relational capital and structural capital. There is a significant relationship between transactional leadership style with human capital, relational capital and structural capital. Structural capital significantly associated with performance of the study program. human capital and relational capital does not relate significantly, both from the effects of transformational leadership and transactional leadership style style only on structural capital that mediate the relationship between transformational leadership style, transactional leadership style with the performance of the study program. On human capital and relational capital does not mediate the relationship between transformational leadership style, transactional leadership style with the performance of the study program. The implications of this study provides an overview of leadership style, intellectual capital and performance courses that require awareness of and attention to factors contingency for stakeholders, then with a leadership style that will also rise high intellectual capital and performance

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menginvestigasi hubungan antara transformational leadership style transactional leadership style , intellectual capital dan kinerja program studi. Data diperoleh dari 30 jurusan/bidang/program studi yang terakreditasi di Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa pada tahun 2016. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil analisis bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara transformational leadership style transactional leadership style, dengan human capital, relational capital dan structural capital. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara structural capital dengan kinerja program studi, tetapi pada human capital, relational capital tidak berhubungan secara signifikan dengan kinerja program studi. Hanya pada modal struktural yang memediasi hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, gaya kepemimpinan transaksional dengan kinerja program studi, pada human capital dan relational capital tidak memediasi hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, gaya kepemimpinan transaksional dengan kinerja program studi. Implikasi dari penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang leadership style, intellectual capital dan kinerja program studi yang memerlukan kesadaran dan perhatian terhadap faktor-faktor kontijensi bagi stakeholders, maka dengan leadership style yang tinggi akan meningkat pula intellectual capital dan kinerjanya
