Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Provincial Minimum Wage, domestic and foreign investments on employment in Sumatra Utara.Metode analysis used is multiple regression model with OLS (Least Square One) in the software program Eviews 8. These results indicate that the variable Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), the Domestic Investment (DCI) and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has positive effect simultaneously or jointly against against Labor Absorption in North Sumatra. The coefficient of determination (R2) is known by 0.898315. This indicates that this case shows that amounted to 89.8315% of variables such as the Provincial Minimum Wage, domestic investment, FDI affect the absorption of Labor. While the rest of 10.1685% is explained by other variables not included in the research model. Keywords: Provincial Minimum Wages, Domestic Investment, FDI and Manpower Absorption
