Abstract

This research was aimed for determine the effect of variations in the spacing and tuber weight in the zero generation (G0) the vegetative growth and seed yield of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) second generation (G2) varieties of Granola. This research was conducted at Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayuran (Balitsa) at Cikole village, Lembang district, West Bandung regency, West Java Province, from September until December 2015 . This research used a Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors and 9 treatments the first factor was a spacing (j), which consisted of : (j1 : 70 cm x 20 cm), (j2 : 70 cm x 25 cm) and (j3 : 70 cm x 30 cm) the second factor was the weight of tubers (b), which consisted of : (b1 : 0.5 g), ( b2 : 1 g) and (b3 : 1.5 g). Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so there were 27 experimental plots . Parameters observed were plant height (cm), wide canopy of leaves (cm), number of tuber per hill (knols) and weights of clump (kg) and weights of plot (kg). The results showed that treatment between of plant spacing variation dan weight of tuber in the real effect on all parameters was observed. giving treatment plant spacing variation 70 cm x 20 cm ( j1 ) to give effect better were plant high parameter on 84 DAP ( 51.83 cm ) , width of the canopy of leaves on 84 DAP ( 51 , 38 cm ) , period potato tubers of hill on 95 DAP ( 30.03 knol ) , weight of tuber of clump on 95 DAP ( 0.26 kg ) , and weight of plot on 95 DAP ( 11.51 kg ) , Largest tuber weight of 1.5 g ( b3 ) give effect better parameters high against plant on 84 DAP ( 51.83 cm ) , width of the leaf canopy on 84 DAP ( 51.38 cm ) , Period potato tubers per hill on 95 DAP ( 30.03 knol ) , weight of tuber clump on 95 DAP ( 0.26 kg ) , and weight of tuber plot on 95 DAP ( 11.51 kg ).
