Abstract

ABSTRACT ENOK HERMAWATI, 2321120009, “The Influence of Contextual Learning Strategies (Contextual Teaching And Learning/CTL) and Attitudes Toward Learning Citizenship Education Learning Outcomes Seventh Grade at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tangerang”. Thesis, Instructional Technology Program, Post Graduate , Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, 2013 This study aims to examine the influence of contextual learning strategies and attitudes of students in the subjects of civic education on learning outcomes of students in junior high school civics . In addition, this study also aims to determine the differences in civic education learning outcomes in the group of students who have different attitudes are given different learning strategies . Research hypotheses tested were (1) There are differences in civic education learning outcomes between students who use learning strategies with the use of contextual learning strategies expository (2) There are different of citizenship education learning outcomes between students who have positive attitudes to learning and learning behaviors that have a negative (3) there is an interaction effect between contextual learning strategies and students' attitudes toward civic education learning outcomes (4) there are differences in civic education learning outcomes of students who have a positive attitude between the use of contextual strategy with the use of expository strategy . (5) There is a difference in learning outcomes between students who have learned negative attitudes that use contextual strategies with students using expository strategy . This study is an experimental research conducted on students of class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tangerang , in the school year 2013/2014 . The research method is experimental with 2 x 2 factorial design , with a sample size of 52 students . Variable factorial criterion is citizenship education learning outcomes and treatment variables are contextual learning strategies for the experimental group (A1) and expository learning strategies for the control group (A2) , while the variable attribute is the students' attitudes toward civic education subjects are grouped into two , namely , positive attitude terhaadap civic education subjects (B1) and negative attitudes towards civic education subjects (B2) . Engineering analysis of Variance (ANOVA) followed by a two- lane Dunnett 's t-test at significance level α = 0.05 . The results showed that , (1) Results of citizenship education on student learning using contextual learning strategies that use is higher than expository strategy (2) civic education on learning outcomes of students who have a positive learning attitude higher than students who have learned negative attitudes (3) There is a significant interaction effect between contextual learning strategies with students' attitudes toward civic education learning outcomes (3) citizenship education learning outcomes for groups of students who have a higher positive learning attitude of the students who have a negative attitude to learn (4) learning outcomes civic education to groups of students who have learned negative attitudes which uses contextual iv learning strategy is lower than that using expository learning strategies . Keywords : contextual learning strategy , learning attitudes and learning outcomes of civic education .
