THE EFFECT OF APPLICATION COOPERATIVE LEARNING STRATEGY JIGSAW TYPE AND CHARACTER VALUE OF LEARNING SCIENCES RESULT CLASS XII VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, Thesis, Instructional Technology Program, Post Graduate, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. 2014 This study aims to find out: 1) the difference of students result in learning science using cooperative learning strategies with jigsaw type and expository learning strategy, 2) the difference of students result in learning science between those who have high character value and those who have low character value, 3) the interaction between cooperative learning with jigsaw type and character value in their influence two ward learning sciences result, 4) the difference of learning sciences result between students who learn using cooperative learning strategy with jigsaw type and students who learn using expository learning strategy for the students who have high character value, 5) the difference of learning sciences result between students who learn using cooperative learning strategy with jigsaw type and students who learn using expository learning strategy for the students who have low character value, 6) the difference of learning sciences result between students who have high character value and those who have low character value with jigsaw strategy learning, 7) the difference of learning sciences result between students who have high character value and those who have low character value with expository learning strategy. This research is conducted in SMKN 1 Kota Serang by using 2x2 factorial design. The sample of this research consists of 1 class as experimental group and 1 class as control, class chosen by random sampling technique. The data is gathered by siving the test in the form of questionnaire about students character value with optional objective answer and written tes with single option. The data gathered is analysed using two tailed variance analysis and Tukey test followed by t-test.The result of this study shows that (1) Students results in learning science using cooperative learning strategy with jigsaw type is better than those who learn using expository learning strategy ( t test (62) = 2, 885; α < 0,05), (2) students result in learning science for those who have high character value is not better than those who have low character value ( t test(62) = 0,647; α > 0,05), (3) there is no interaction of implementing cooperative learning strategy with jigsaw type and character value toward learning science result (Sig (2-tailed) = 0,360; α > 0,05), (4) students results in learning science with high value character who use cooperative learning with jigsaw type is better than those who learn using expository learning strategy (t test (37) = 2, 633; α < 0,05), (6) students results in learning science with high character value is not better than those with low character value when they learn science using cooperative learning using jigsaw type (t iii test (30) = 0,496; α > 0,05), (7) ) students results in learning science with high character value is not better than those who have low character value when they learn science using expository learning strategy (t test (30) = 0,346; α > 0,05). Based on those finding, it can be concluded that the students result in learning science is influenced by the implementation of learning strategy. However ekspecially for this study, it can’t be approved that character value can influence students result in learning science.
