Abstract
Performance Analysis of Drainage Channelin Mitsubishi Area Cilegon CityDwitika ABSTRACT MitsubishiDrainagechannels locatedonArterial RoadMerak-Cilegonwhichconsistingof two lanesandboth ways four laneswitheach lanewidth of4meters the form ofculvertunder the roadandonthe left andrightside ofastonemasonrywall.Condition of existingdrainagechanneliscannotaccommodate theflowof water through it,withsomeobservationson the timesof highrainfall sothat make Mitsubishi Area flood.The purpose of this research is tosearching forthe problem why the drainage channel in Mitsubishi Area cannot safe troughwater Q and get right dimension of drainage channel for solving and minimizeflood. 10 Analysis includes calculation of the rain area using algebraic formula, thefrequency analysis to determine the statistical parameters, the determination ofthe probability distribution usingChi-Square Test and Smirnov-Kolmogorof Test,determination of flood discharge return period of ten years using the rationalformula, and check dimension of the channel existing.Planning the economiesdimension and check stabilities of structure. TheResult of analysis revealed that the discharge of drainage channel is5,68m 3 /secondsmaller than return period of tenyears is 9,03m /second.Theplanning of drainage channel with 1,74 m high of water, 0,93m free board,3,48m width of channel, 3,77 total high of channel, 2 m width of foot channel anddimensions of culvert is 2 m x 2 m.
