Abstract

ABSTRACT Erni Octavia (2227102513). The Increasing of Social Study Result Through Pair Checks Learning Model On 5th Grader of Elementary School. This research is based on the lack of students’ learning activity and the decreasing of study result from the 5th grader of SDN (National Elementary School) Duri Kepa 14 Pagi on Social Science subject. One of the cause is their teachers only use the speech method which is unvaried or combined with another method or model, the teachers also not using any kinds of other media dan the low activity from students caused the low study result. Goal of this research is to increase the activities and students’ study result by using Pair Checks model. This research use the Class Act Research which is done on August to September in 2 rounds, each round consists of 2 meeting, each round consists of : planning, act, observation, and reflection. Based on the research which has been done, on pre-round phase the students’ studying result viewed from the average score of daily tests is 63,96 which consists of 48,3% students who failed and 51,7% who succeed the tests. On the first round, studying results show the average score of 67,86% with 41,37% failed students and 58,62% who succeed. The increasement of results showed in second round which show the average score reach 82,06% with succeed cirteria reach 93,10% which is suitable with the indicator of succeed that has been reached. Based on this research, implying that pair checks model could increase the activity and study result of Social Science Students on the history of HindiBuddha and Islam subject.
