Abstract
Fokus penelitian adalah pengawasan tenaga kerja asing oleh Kantor Imigrasi di Kota Tangerang. Pengawasan tenaga kerja asing perlu dilakukan agar berkurangnya tenaga kerja asing ilegal di Kota Tangerang. Dalam pengawasan tenaga kerja asing dibentuk Tim Pengawasan Orang Asing yang melibatkan beberapa instansi terkait dalam penlaksanaanya. Tujuan penelitaian ini untuk mengetahui pengawasan tenaga kerja asing di Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pengawasan yang efektif menurut Handoko (2011:373). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menujukan pengawasan tenaga kerja asing di Kota Tangerang belum maksimal karena kurangnya jumlah petugas dalam pengawasan, petugas dilapangan kurang tegas dalam melakukan pengawsan, dan kurangnya perencanaan dalam memanfaatkan ekonomi dan teknologi yang didapatkan dari kehadiran temaga kerja asing di Kota Tangerang. Saran yang dapat diberikan yaitu adanya penambahan jumlah petugas pengawasan dalam mengawasi tenaga kerja asing, diperetegasnya pengawasan yang dilakukan oleh petugas pengawas, penambahan jadwal pengawasan dan adanya perencanaan dalam pembuatan kebutuhan tenaga kerja asing guna meningkatkan potensi ekonomi dan teknologi di Kota Tangerang

Additional Information: | The focus of the research is the supervision of foreign workers by the Immigration Office in Tangerang City. Supervision of foreign workers needs to be carried out in order to reduce illegal foreign workers in Tangerang City. In the supervision of foreign workers, a Foreigner Supervision Team is formed which involves several relevant agencies in its implementation. The purpose of this research is to find out the supervision of foreign workers in Tangerang City. This study uses the theory of effective supervision according to Handoko (2011:373). The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. The results of the study show that the supervision of foreign workers in Tangerang City has not been maximized due to the lack of a number of officers under supervision, field officers are less assertive in carrying out supervision, and lack of planning in utilizing the economy and technology obtained from the presence of foreign workers in Tangerang City. Suggestions that can be given are the addition of the number of supervisory officers in supervising foreign workers, strengthening the supervision carried out by supervisory officers, increasing the supervision schedule and planning in making the needs of foreign workers in order to increase the economic and technological potential in Tangerang City. | |||||||||
