Abstract

Cognitive ability in Playgroup Dini Pandeglang is still low. This is due to the lack of Educational toys, the use of teaching materials less attractive, the teacher has not been engaging in activities that enhance the child's interest in learning and play, and the teacher just gave the task to the child continuously. In addition, parent’s attention to the children in learning at home is very rarely. Methods used by teachers in learning and playing less varied. Use media card number is expected to increase cognitive ability in teaching and learning process in teaching and learning so that teaching and learning activities do not occur saturation. The method in this study is the method of Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 8 times the action in cycle I and 2 times action in cycle II with action success criteria of 75 %. Subject of the research is 9 children. Techniques of data collection through observation, field notes, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Data validation is done by extension of observation, increasing diligence research, triangulation, checking colleague, member checking, negative case analysis and referential adequacy. The results of this study note that, 1) At the beginning assessment cognitive ability by 29%, 2) After the child is given the action in Cycle I, the ability of children begin to rise to 50 %, 3) Cycle II obtained as a result of 81 %. So it can be concluded that the game card number can increase cognitive ability in children aged 5- 6 years in Playgroup Dini Pandeglang. Additional Information: Kemampuan kognitif di Kober Dini Pandeglang masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya alat permainan edukatif, penggunaan bahan ajar yang kurang menarik, guru tidak pernah melakukan kegiatan-kegiatan yang meningkatkan minat anak dalam belajar dan bermain, dan guru hanya memberikan tugas kepada anak secara terus menerus. Disamping itu, perhatian orang tua terhadap anaknya dalam belajar dirumah sangat jarang sekali. Metode yang digunakan guru dalam belajar dan bermain kurang bervariasi. Penggunaan media kartu angka diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak dalam proses belajar mengajar sehingga dalam proses belajar mengajar itu aktivitas belajar mengajar tidak terjadi kejenuhan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari 8 kali tindakan disiklus I dan 2 kali tindakan disiklus II dengan kriteria keberhasilan tindakan 75%. Subjek penelian berjumlah 9 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pengamatan, catatan lapangan, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Validasi data dilakukan dengan cara perpanjangan pengamatan, peningkatan ketekunan penelitian, triangulasi, pengecekan teman sejawat, pengecekan anggota, analisis kasus negatif, dan kecukupan referensial. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa, 1) Pada asesmen awal kemampuan kognitif anak 29%, 2) Setelah anak diberikan tindakan pada Siklus I, kemampuan anak mulai meningkat menjadi 50%, 3) Siklus II diperoleh hasil sebesar 81%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan kartu angka dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di Kober Dini Pandeglang.
