Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of organizational commitment and work discipline on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. In this study the method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The population in this study was 105 people and the sample was 100 respondents. For data analysis using the model test of the SmartPLS software analysis tool version 3.0 which consists of an outer loading test and an inner model. There is a positive and significant influence of organizational commitment on employee performance. Thus the first hypothesis (H1) is accepted. There is a positive and insignificant effect of work discipline on employee performance. Thus the second hypothesis (H2) is rejected. There is a positive and significant influence of organizational commitment on job satisfaction. Thus the third hypothesis (H3) is accepted. There is a positive and significant effect of work discipline on job satisfaction. Thus the fourth hypothesis (H4) is accepted. There is a positive and significant effect of job satisfaction on employee performance. Thus the fifth hypothesis (H5) is accepted. The results showed that job satisfaction as an intervening variable partially mediates the effect of organizational commitment on employee performance. Thus the sixth hypothesis (H6) is accepted. The results showed that job satisfaction as an intervening variable perfectly mediates the effect of work discipline on employee performance. Thus the seventh hypothesis (H7) is accepted. Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komitmen organisasi dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel intervening. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 105 orang dan sampel berjumlah 100 responden. Untuk ananalisis data menggunakan uji model alat analisis software SmartPLS versi 3.0 yang terdiri dari uji outer loading dan inner model. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai. Dengan demikian hipotesisi pertama (H1) diterima. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan disiplin kerja terhadap Kinerja pegawai. Dengan demikian hipotesisi kedua (H2) ditolak. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan komitmen organisasi terhadap kepuasan kerja. Dengan demikian hipotesisi ketiga (H3) diterima. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan disiplin kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja. Dengan demikian hipotesisi keempat (H4) diterima. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai. Dengan demikian hipotesisi kelima (H5) diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel intervening memediasi secara parsial pengaruh komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai. Dengan demikian hipotesisi keenam (H6) diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel intervening memediasi secara sempurna pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai. Dengan demikian hipotesisi ketuju (H7) diterima. Kata kunci : komitmen organisasi, disiplin kerja, kepuasan kerja dan kinerja pegawai
