Abstract

Solar panels are tools for converting sunlight energy into electrical energy. The main problem with solar panels is that the amount of output power generated is relatively unstable because it is influenced by the amount of solar irradiation. The purpose of this research is to increase solar irradiation in order to maximize the output power generated from solar panels and to find out the output power of LED lamps used to replace solar energy sources. This research method uses a Data Logger as a means of recording data which includes current, voltage, light, solar radiation and temperature. As well as adding a flat mirror that is the same size as the solar panel as a reflector of sunlight (Reflector). The results of the study found that solar panels that use reflectors get a solar radiation value of 1053 W/m2 with a temperature value of 56 °C and a power value of 407 Watt. From the previous one without a reflector, it obtained a solar irradiation value and an output power of 982 W/m2 and 328 Watt for the results of research using LED lights as a source instead of sunlight to get the highest output voltage of 23,830 V.
