Abstract

This research aim was to observed the influence of problem based learning models toward student cognitive ability learning outcomes on virus materials on the tenth grade of SMA Negeri 3 Tangerang. This research was conducted by quasi experimental with the equivalent control group design. The samples used by using purposive sampling methods with all students of class X SMAN 3 Tangerang academic year 2021/2022 as a population. Research sample consisted of two classes, class X MIPA 5 as an experimental class and X MIPA 6 as a control class. The t-test obtained a sig value of 0.00 with a significance value (α) of 0.05, as smaller than (α). Based on the results of the t test, it can be concluded that the problem based learning model affects the learning outcomes of cognitive abilities on virus materials.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang diukur dalam penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan kognitif pada materi virus di kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Kabupaten Tangerang. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode quasi experimental dengan desain penelitian yaitu Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan metode purposive samplingdengan seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 3 Tangerang tahun akademik 2021/2022 sebagai populasi. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, kelas X MIPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Uji t memperoleh nilai sig 0,00 dengan nilai signifikansi (α) 0,05, lebih kecil dari (α). Berdasarkan hasil uji t, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model problem based learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kemampuan kognitif pada materi virus.
