Abstract
This case study is motivated by the importance of increasing family knowledge of asthmatics. Asthma has long been known to the wider community, based on data obtained by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019 around 235 million with a mortality rate of more than 80% in developing countries. Objective: To describe family nursing care with a knowledge deficit in asthma sufferers by providing health education leaflets in Sumur Pecung Village. Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways. Symptoms of asthma are shortness of breath (shortness of breath), productive cough, especially at night or early in the morning, and chest tightness. Knowledge of asthma is very important in the management and control of asthma recurrence. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews, observation, physical examination and health education. The method used in this case study is nursing care which consists of assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. This case study was conducted in the Sumur Pecung Sub-district, Serang City in 2022. From the results obtained based on the results of the case study on client 1 and client 2, the knowledge deficit was caused by age and education factors. The diagnosis on client 1 and client 2 is knowledge deficit. The intervention is to provide health education about asthma. The implementation is to provide health education about asthma. The evaluation is based on the results of the case studies of clients 1 and 2, namely those who do not understand, namely client 1 because of the age factor.

| Additional Information: | Studi kasus ini dilatar belakangi dengan pentingnya meningkatkan pengetahuan keluarga pada penderita asma. Asma telah lama dikenal masyarakat luas, berdasakan data yang diperoleh World Health Organization (WHO) tahun 2019 sekitar 235 juta dengan angka kematian lebih dari 80% di negara-negara berkembang. Tujuan: Menggambarkan Asuhan Keperawatan Keluarga Dengan Defisit Pengetahuan Pada Penderita Asma Dengan Pemberian Edukasi Kesehatan Media Leaflet Di Kelurahan Sumur Pecung. Asma bronkhial adalah gangguan inflamasi kronis di jalan napas. Gejala asma adalah gangguan pernapasan (sesak), batuk produktif terutama dimalam hari atau menjelang pagi, dan dada terasa tertekan. Pengetahuan mengenai penyakit asma sangat penting dalam pengelolaan dan mengontrol kekambuhan asma. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitan ini adalah wawancara, observasi, pemeriksaan fisik dan edukasi kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam studi kasus ini adalah asuhan keperawatan yang terdiri dari pengkajian, diagnosa keperawatan, intervensi, implementasi dan evaluasi. Studi kasus ini dilakukan di lingkungan Kelurahan Sumur pecung Kota Serang pada Tahun 2022. Dari hasil yang didapatkan berdasarkan hasil studi kasus pada klien 1 dan klien 2 tersebut mengalami defisit pengetahuan ini disebabkan karena faktor usia dan pendidikan. Diagnosa pada klien 1 dan klien 2 yaitu defisit pengetahuan. Intervensinya yaitu berikan edukasi kesehatan tentang asma. Implemetasi yang dilakukan yaitu memberikan edukasi kesehatan tentang asma. Evaluasi yang berdasarkan hasil studi kasus klien 1 dan 2 yaitu yang kurang memahami yaitu pada klien 1 karena faktor usia. | |||||||||
