Abstract

The research was determine the effect of using multiple dose compost banana stem and rice washing water on the growth and yield of tomato plants (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.).This research was conducted in Pasir village Binangun Waringin Kurung Serang Banten, from Oktober until December 2014 with used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) as factorial with three repetation. The factor were examined included the compost banana stem (K) ie: 20 ton / ha (60 g / polybag) (K1); 25 ton / ha (75 g / polybag) (K2); and 30 ton / ha (90 g / polybag) (K3), as well as a dose of rice water (B), namely: rice water 500 ml + 500 ml of water (B1); 750 ml rice water + 250 ml of water (B2); and 1000 ml rice water (B3). Parameters observed include: plant height, leaf number, fresh weight of plants, dry weight of the plant, number of fruits per plant, fruit diameter and fruit weight per plant. The results showed that treatment compost banana stems real effect on the parameters plant height (generally at the age of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 WAP treatment K2 (25 tons / ha (75 g / polybag)) shows the average tallest ie 38.53 cm, 50.00 cm, 74.33 cm, 98.47, and 161.23 cm), number of leaves (ages 1, 2, and 5 WAP) (in general treatment of K2 (25 tons / ha (75 g / polybag)) has an average number of leaves tallest ie 14,33 strands at age 5 WAP), plant fresh weight (K3 treatment (30 ton / ha (90 g / polybag)) shows the average tallest namely 45.47 g), dry weight of the plant (treatment K3 (30 ton / ha (90 g / polybag)) shows the average tallest namely 14.24 g), the number of fruits per plant (K2 treatment (25 tons / ha (75 g / polybag )) shows the average number of fruits per plant tallest ie 4.85 g), fruit diameter (K2 treatment (25 tons / ha (75 g / polybag)) shows the average fruit diameter tallest ie 2.88 cm), and planting fruit weight (K2 treatment (25 tons / ha (75 g / polybag)) showed an average weight of fruit per plant tallest namely 87.51 g). Similarly, rice water treatment significantly affected the number of leaves (age 2 WAP) (treatment B1 (500 ml rice washing water + 500 ml water) showed the highest average of 5.22 pages). However Between the use of compost banana stems and rice water interactions do not occured on the growth and yield of tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.), except for the observation of plant height (ages 1 and 2 WAP) and the number of leaves (age 2 WAP).
