Abstract
PT. Jasa Raharja (Persero) Branch Banten is an insurance company owned by the State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) running under the authority of the Ministry of Finance. The company is engaged in the traffic accident of social insurance which is insurance of Indonesian society. But it turns out there are still people who do not understand and know more about this insurance, ranging from how to claim the procedure until the requirements needed. The purpose of this research was to determine how the SWOT analysis is used to find out internal and external factor of PT. Jasa Raharja (Persero) Branch Banten in Serang. This research uses SWOT analysis (David, 2006:47) that argued four elements, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that will be used to identify the condition of the company. The method used is descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation study. The data analysis technique used is the SWOT matrix of David. The result shows that the SWOT analysis of PT . Jasa Raharja (Persero) Branch Banten in Serang is not optimal. This study has indicated that PT. Jasa Raharja (Persero) Branch Banten ought to review its strategy in giving insurance to people having accidents.

| Additional Information: | PT. Jasa Raharja (Persero) Cabang Banten merupakan perusahaan asuransi milik Badan Usaha Milik Negara yang berada pada naungan Kementerian Keuangan RI. Perusahan ini bergerak dibidang asuransi sosial kecelakaan lalu lintas yang merupakan asuransinya masyarakat Indonesia. Tetapi ternyata masih terdapat masyarakat yang belum memahami dan mengetahui tentang asuransi ini, mulai dari prosedur pengklaiman sampai persyaratan yang dibutuhkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana analisis SWOT PT. Jasa Raharja (Persero) Cabang Banten di Kota Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis SWOT (David, 2006:47) terdapat empat unsur yaitu kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman yang akan digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi perusahaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deksriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu Matriks SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Analisis SWOT PT. Jasa Raharja (Persero) Cabang Banten di Kota Serang belum optimal. Peneliti menyarankan agar PT. Jasa Raharja (Persero) Cabang Banten sebaiknya mengulas kembali untuk korban kecelakaan tunggal agar terjamin asuransi Jasa Raharja. | |||||||||
