Abstract

The purpose of this study are (1) to know the process of implementation of media aprons count in improving the numeracy beginning skills of aged 4-5 years in TK Sekar Sari Pulomerak Cilegon; (2) to know the improvement of numeracy beginning skills of children aged 4-5 years in TK Sekar Sari Pulomerak Cilegon Banten after a given action aprons count media. The method used in this research is action research conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of 8 actions at first cycle, and at the second cycle consisting 2 actions with a 70% success criteria action. Subject of this research were 18 children aged 4-5 years that consisting of 11 boys and 7 girls. The technique of collecting data through observation, field notes, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data. Based on research data analysis and discussion, the result are : (1) the process of implementation an media aprons count includes 3 stages. The stages are, the preparatory stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage; (2) after being given an action using media aprons count to improve the numeracy skills of children starters result is at the first cycle reaches 45% and second cycle increased to 74%. It can be concluded that the media aprons count can improve numeracy beginning skills of children aged 4-5 years in TK Sekar Sari Pulomerak Cilegon Banten.
