Nina Prasetyaningsih. NIM 666212A845nW6. Skripsi. Representasi Makna Tekad dalam Film Kahaani (Sebuah Analisis Semiotika Model Roland Barthes). Pembimbing I: Neka Fitriyah, S.Sos., M.Si; Pembimbing II: Husnan Nurjuman, S.Ag., M.Si. Penelitian ini berfokus padarealitas kehidupan manusi4 yakni sikap tekad. Tekad merupakan sikap yang harus dimiliki setiap manusia untuk mencapai tujuan hidup. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi proses bertekad seseorang dan memahami makna tekad dalam film Kahaani. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis semiotika dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan bersifat deskriptif. Unit analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah film Kahaani dengan mengobservasi gambar dan suara atau dialog yang didalamnya terdapat unsur tanda yang menggambarkan makna tekad. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis semotika model Roland Barthes, yffig menganalisis secara dua tahap, yaitu tahap denotasi dan tahap konotasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa film Kahaani secara denotasi, makna tekad terepresentasi melalui dialog antar pemain, adanya niat keyakinan, pengambilan keputusan dan tindakan merupakan landasan dari tekad untuk mencapai tujuan. Secara konotasi, makna tekad terepresentasi melalui mimik wajah, kefokusan tatapanmata dan intonasi suara pemeran utama. Kata kunci : Representasi Film, Tekad, Semiotikn

Determination is an attitude that sltauld be owned by everyone to achieve the life goals. The purpose of this research is to identify futermination attitude process and to understand the meaning of determination attitude in the Kahoani Film. The method used in this research is semiatic analysis with a qualitative approach and descriptive with the object af observation are scenes on Kahasni movie duration 182 minutes. The unit of analysis in this research is a Kahaani movie with observing the images and sounds or dialogue that sign can describe determination attitude. Then analysis used semiotic analysis Roland Barthes models, that analyzed in two stages, stage denotation and connotation stage. Detntation meaning understood as literal meanings, then connotations is the hidden meaning or implicitly contained in tlp film. Ihis research concluded that the Kahaani fiIm con represented of determination meaning to the onlooker. In denotation, meaning a determination is represented through a dialogue between players, their intentions, beliefs, decisions and actions are the cornerstones of the determination to achieve the goal. In connotations, meaning s determination is represenled through face expressions, eye gaze and tone afvoice the main character.
