Abstract

Resa Nur Pahlevi. NIM.6661080394. Pengaruh Penerapan Metode Reward dan Punishment Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Negeri Sipil di Badan Kepegawaian dan Diklat Kota Cilegon. Program Studi Ilmu Administrasi Negara. Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik. Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Pembimbing I, Ipah Ema Jumiati, S.Ip.,M.Si, Pembimbing II, Anis Fuad, S.Sos., M.Si. Kata Kunci : Kinerja, Reward dan Punishment. Untuk meningkatkan kinerja PNS, Badan Kepegawaian dan Diklat Kota Cilegon atau disingkat BKD Cilegon menerapkan metode reward dan punishment. Dalam penerapannya terdapat kendala, seperti keterbatasan anggaran, banyak PNS mangkir kerja, kurang pengawasan, kapasitas dan kapabilitas pegawai kurang memadai, sarana dan prasarana minim. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, karena peneliti menginginkan pengukuran antara variabel X dan Y. Populasi dalam penelitian 36 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan sampling jenuh yaitu 36 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner. Teknik analisa menggunakan uji hipotesis korelasi product moment dengan hasil (+)0,796. Sehingga rhitung 0,796 ≥ rtabel 0,329. Persentase pengaruhnya 63,3%, dan terdapat 36,7% faktor lain tidak diteliti seperti lingkungan kerja, pimpinan dan rekan kerja. Kesimpulannya Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Dengan kata lain, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penerapan metode reward dan punishment terhadap kinerja PNS di BKD Cilegon. Saran peneliti adalah menciptakan atmosfir kerja yang nyaman dan menerapkan metode reward dan punishment secara adil.

The improvement of performance of civil servants, Badan Kepegawaian dan Diklat Cilegon (BKD) Cilegon makes policies with application of methods of reward and punishment. This method of reward had some there any obstacles encountered, such as: budget constraints, many employees who lost to follow up work, lack of supervision, capacity and capability of inadequate staff, and minimal facilities. The aim of this research was to determine how much influence application of methods of reward and punishment to performance of Civil Servants in BKD Cilegon. This research used quantitative method since researcher wanted to determine the measurement of X and Y variable. Population in this study is 36 people. Sampling technique used is a saturated sampling as many as 36 people. Instrument in this study is a questionnaire. Analysis techniques used was product moment in result was (+)0.796, rhitung 0,796 is greater than rtabel 0,329. Percentage of influence is 63,3% and there is 36,7 % of other factors which are not observed. In this study, that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So, there is significant influence between application of methods of reward and punishment to performance of Civil Servants in BKD Cilegon. Recommendation from this research are improving the work atmosphere and implementing this system fairly.
