Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik. Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. 2012. Harian Umum Kompas merupakan salah satu surat kabar nasional di Indonesia yang mengulas fenomena isi pemberitaan gerakan mahasiswa dalam aksi penolakan rencana kenaikan harga bahan bakar minyak tahun 2012 ini. Maka dari itu rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana berita gerakan mahasiswa dalam aksi penolakan rencana kenaikan harga bahan bakar minyak 2012 di Harian Umum Kompas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode interpretatif kualitatif dan teknik analisis framing dengan model yang dikembangkan oleh Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah studi literatur dan wawancara. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 3 berita dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis framing model Zhongdang Pan dan G.M Kosicki memiliki empat struktur yaitu sintaksis, skrip, tematik, dan retoris. Dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan suatu kesimpulan bahwa Kompas berdasarkan kontruksi sosial dan realitas media terkait dengan berita gerakan mahasiswa tersebut dinilai bahwa apa yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa saat melakukan unjuk rasa cenderung anarkis dan pemberitaan tersebut dinilai citra mahasiswa negatif saat melakukan demontrasi. Hal ini bisa dilihat juga berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan peneliti dengan menggunakan metode framing pada level penyusunan fakta (sintaksis), Kompas dalam frame pemberitaan mahasiswa dalam aksi penolakan rencana kenaikan harga bahan bakar minyak tahun 2012 ini menggambarkan image tidak baik pada mahasiswa. Pada level pengisahan fakta (skrip), Kompas mencoba mengisahkan fakta yang terbentuk dengan pola 5W+1H yang lebih mengedepankan pemberitaan pada aspek pemberitaan mahasiswa dalam aksi penolakan rencana kenaikan harga bahan bakar minyak 2012 ini dengan melihat cara-cara yang dilakukan mahasiswa saat demontrasi. Pada tingkat penulisan fakta (tematik), Kompas banyak mengedepankan anarkis yang dilakukan oleh pengunjuk rasa. Namun, aparat kepolisian dalam kasus tersebut membalas dengan anarkis pula untuk membela atau melindungi diri dari serangan pengunjuk rasa. Intensitas beberapa berita pada Kompas disajikan tidak memiliki keberimbangan. Pada tingkat penekanan fakta (retoris), Kompas mengedepankan bentrokan yang terjadi selama demo berlangsung, aksi-aksi pengunjuk rasa menuai kontroversi karena demo dilakukan secara anarkis.

General Daily Kompas is one of the national newspapers in Indonesia which the content of the newspaper is review student movement rejection about the upcoming increase fuel prices in 2012. Therefore the problem formulation in this research is how exactly student’s movement about the upcoming in increase fuel price 2012 in General Daily Kompas. This research used a qualitative interpretative methods and techniques of framing the analysis model developed by Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki. Also this research used the literature study and interviews for the data collection technique. Sample taken as many as 3 news using a purposive sampling technique. The framing analyzing technique developed Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki has four structures which is syntactic, script, thematic, and rhetorical. This research produce a conclusion that Kompas based on social construction and media reality linked with the news of student movement is considered that was done by a student during a protest has the tendency to be anarchist and because of that the image of student who did the protest became negative. This thing can be seen also based on analysis of past research which used the method of framing at the level of preparation of the facts (syntax), the news of student movement about the upcoming increase fuel prices is negative in Kompas’s news. On the level narrative (script), Kompas try to explain the fact which is created by 5W+1H pattern that emphasize of the student movement about the upcoming increase fuels price in 2012 by looking at the way student protest or demonstrate. On the level (thematic) writing, Kompas emphasize a lot anarchist protest by student. But the authority during the protest process did exactly the same like the student, anarchists. The intensity of some news presented on Kompas did not have balances. On the level (rhetorical), Kompas emphasize the class happens during the protest process, actions from the protester results a controversy because the demo done by anarchist actions. |
