IP., M.A Setiap warga negara tentu saja memiliki hak politik yang sama yaitu memilih dan dipilih hal ini juga berlaku pada kelompok difabel. Pada Pemilihan Gubernur tahun 2017 partisipasi pemilih difabel di Kota Tangerang yaitu sekitar 33% dan merupakan partisipasi pemilih difabel yang paling rendah di Provinsi Banten. Kota Tangerang yang cenderung dengan kota yang paling maju di Banten namun tingkat partisipasi pemilih difabelnya yang paling rendah. Kota Tangerang juga memiliki jumlah pemilih difabel terbanyak di Provinsi Banten yaitu sebanyak 800 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori partisipasi politik berdasarkan kesadaran politik menurut Huntington & Nelson. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa pemilih difabel di Kota Tangerang termasuk ke dalam kesadaran partisipasi yang otonom. Selain itu, faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya partisipasi pemilih difabel di Kota Tangerang pada pemilihan Gubernur tahun 2017 disebabkan oleh dua faktor utama yaitu faktor pemilih dan faktor pihak penyelenggara. IP., M.A Every citizen has the same political rights, that is choosing and being chosen, this also applies to disabled groups. In the 2017 Governor Election, participation of voters with disabilities in Tangerang City was around 33% and it was the lowest participation of voters with disabilities in Banten Province. The City of Tangerang tends to be the most developed city in Banten but the lowest level of participation voters with disabilities. The city of Tangerang also has the most voters with disabilities in Banten Province, that is 800 people. This study uses the theory of political participation based on political awareness according to Huntington & Nelson. The method used is qualitative. The results of this study concluded that voters with disabilities in Tangerang City included in the awareness of autonomous participation. In addition, the factors causing the low participation of voters with disabilities in the City of Tangerang in the 2017 Governor election were caused by two main factors, that is voter factors and organizer factors.
