Galin Mario Bimantara Purba. NIM 6662131972. Skripsi. Dinamika Interaksi Mahasiswa Afirmasi dalam Menghadapi Culture Shock di Untirta. Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Serang 2018. Dosen Pembimbing I: Dr. Rangga Galura Gumelar, M.Si. Dosen Pembimbing II: Ronny Septa Priana, M.Si Interaksi adalah hubungan-hubungan sosial yang menyangkut hubungan antar individu, individu dengan kelompok, dan kelompok dengan kelompok lain. Tanpa adanya interaksi sosial maka tidak akan mungkin kehidupan bersama, dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mengambil pembahasan dengan melibatkan mahasiswa Afirmasi yang kuliah di Untirta, yang dimana mahasiswa Afirmasi adalah mahasiswa yang memiliki latar belakang/identitas kepapuaannya, jika dibandingkan dengan kebudayaan/kebiasaan yang berlaku di Untirta, hal inilah yang menyembabkan mahasiswa mengalami culture shock. Oleh sebab itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengambarkan bagaimana dinamika interaksi mahasiswa Afirmasi dalam menghadapi culture shok di Untirta dengan menggunanakan 5 proses interaksi dari Gillin dan Gillin, yaitu Imitasi, Identifikasi, Sugesti, Empati dan Simpati. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif. Peneliti melihat adanya interaksi yang dilakukan mahasiswa Afirmasi dengan lingkungan Untirta yang meliputi; lingkungan masyarakat, lingkungan kuliah dan lingkungan organisasi pasti begitu juga sebaliknya. Hal ini lah yang dicoba digambarkan oleh peneliti dengan tujuan untuk meminimalisir efek culture shock. Peneliti melihat dalam proses dinamika interaksinya mahasiswa Afirmasi tidak melakukan 5 faktor yang disebutkan oleh Gillin, seperti Imitasi, mahasiswa afirmasi tidak menerapkan ini agar dapat diterima dengan lingkungan Untirta. Dari 5 faktor tersebut mahasiswa Afirmasi banyak menerapkan 2 dari 5 faktor tersebut, yaitu identifikasi, dan sugesti. Unsur lain seperti simpati dan empati banyak diterapkan lingkungan untuk lebih mengerti keadaan mahasiswa Afirmasi tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini juga ditemukan bahwa mahasiswa Afirmasi masih cenderung bertahan dan menjadikan kebiasaan dan kebudayaan Papua yang melekat pada dirinya sebagai tolak ukur penilaian akan benar, salah, baik dan salahnya kebIisaan yang berlaku dilingkungan Untirta. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, seharusnya mahasiswa Afirmasi juga harus bisa menerima norma dan kebudayaan yang berlaku di Untira, hal ini bertujuan untuk lebiih bisa mengenal lebih dalam dan tidak cenderung menutup diri akan kebiasaan yang berlaku dilingkungan di Untirta. Si Supervisor II: Ronny Septa Priana, M.Si The interaction is social relations concerning relations between individuals, groups, individuals and groups with other groups.In the absence of social interaction, then there will be probably a life together, in this study, the researchers took the discussion involving the Affirmation students lectures in Untirta, which is where student Affirmations are students who have a background back to identity, if compared to culture/habits prevailing in Untirta, it menyembabkan students experience culture shock. Therefore the purpose of this study is to describe how the dynamics of interaction students of affirmation in the face of culture shock in Untirta with use 5 process interaction from Gillin and Gillin, namely Imitation, identification, Suggestion, Empathy and sympathy.Researchers using qualitative methods. Researchers see the interactions done student Affirmations with environmental Untirta that include; environment of the community, the Organization and the environment lecture environment certainly vice versa.This was the one who tried was described by researchers with the aim to minimize the effects of culture shock. Researchers see in process Dynamics interactions student Affirmations are not doing 5 factors mentioned by Gillin, such as Imitation, students do not implement these affirmations in order to be accepted by the environment Untirta.The factor of 5 student Affirmations many apply 2 of 5 of these factors, namely identification and suggestion. Other elements such as sympathy and empathy many applied the environment to better understand the circumstances of the student such Affirmations. In this study also found that students still tend to persist and Affirmations made the habits and culture of Papua that is inherent in itself as a benchmark assessment will be right, wrong, good, and harm habit applicable surroundings Untirta. To resolve this issue, should the student Affirmations should also be able to receive the applicable norms and culture in Untirta, this aims to get to know more deeply and does not tend to shut down will be the prevailing habit Untirta in the surroundings.
